Macchiato

In the coffee shop of concrete and glass,
The baristas move with a efficient pass,
Their movements swift, their efficiency stark,
As they serve coffee to us drones of the dark.

But in this concrete place, a light still shines,
Humanity still runs the technology and lines,
A symphony of screens and algorithms at play,
A glimpse of a better world, a brighter day.

It's a clash of old and new, of grit and gleam,
A world where technology and humanity scheme,
To create a vision that's both dark and bright,
A coffee shop of contrasts, these days a common sight.

And so I sip my coffee, feeling both dismay and hope,
In this coffee shop of the future, where worlds collide and cope,
Where the gritty and the gleaming come together in a dance,
And the coffee is both bitter and sweet, when mixed, enhance.
