My Wife

My wife, my beautiful wife,
Grew up on a ranch in Mexico,
A place of sun and dirt and life,
Where work was hard but she could glow.

Her mind is sharp as any knife,
Her words as rich as any wine,
She can cut through any strife,
And make sense of the chaos fine.

And when the world threw her around,
Like a leaf in a raging storm,
She stood tall, feet on the ground,
Her spirit unbroken, never windborn.

My wife, the amazing person,
The brilliant woman, and so much more,
Her resilience is a lesson,
That we should all strive to adore.
