Sun's Prelude
The morning wind blows cold and grey,
Five in the morning, dawn's official sway.
In the coffee shop, dim lights prevail,
A haven from fall's chill, a temporary sail.
But amidst the shadows, a spark takes flight,
Two young hearts aglow, with joyous delight.
Her coat ablaze, a fiery splash of color bright,
He tall and slender, with steps that dance in light.
Their laughter echoes, whispers filled with glee,
In my corner I smile, basking in their spree.
The warmth of strangers' love infects the air,
A moment's truce, beyond the empty chair.
As they depart, the coffee shop's heart slows down,
Leaving behind a gentle echo, a love-filled renown.
We pause, stretch, and nod, as morning takes its place,
The day awakens slow, with whispers of that night's warm space.
