I've been sick.

I had a bad cold, but it's finally done. The other day, I was having some brunch and came face to face with a grackle that had found it's way into the restaurant. It perched on the back of a chair, and sized me up. I was struck by how ancient they look. I wrote ‘Ode to the Grackle’ about it.
