Some thoughts on tech

I've been thinking about AI for a while, and I fail to see a situation where we don't have AGI by the end of 2025. With the AI specific hardware coming, and already in use, advanced models that have been shelved until the hardware catches up, will be dusted off very soon.

This is all too fast for any culture to adjust to. The result will likely be one company that completely dominates the AI space by leveraging their AGI to have near infinite industry expert hours working on an artificial super intelligence, which should happen in a matter of months, which can be leveraged to keep them on top.

I see a situation similar to Taiwan, where the whole world is beholden to them for the microchips to build any computer. There will be a single provider of high quality intellect… except that AI is a little more accessible than building tiny semiconductors, so this leader will have to become terribly aggressive to stay on top. They will have a near infinite team of experts who are more intelligent than any human could ever be, working tirelessly to maintain that grip. Think Disney with super intelligent lawyers… maybe… remember that I am just some random guy with brain damage.
